A'layeah is The Cell Phone Media Contest winner and had the chance to have her short film shown at the annual Women's History Month Film Festival on March 9th at Rutgers University.

Sypnosis: A story about a young girl wanting to have a relationship with her mother. After so many years of abuse the mother suffered from the father, the mother only thinks it’s right by taking her anger out on her daughter. Will they be able to rebuild a relationship that has been torn for so long?

The film examines the effect of abuse when it happens over a period of time. It also shows how abuse can trickle down off of one person to the other and in this case it stopped as soon as it was recognized.
